Hampshire Countryside Day 2026
On Sunday, 13th September, I had the pleasure of attending and photographing of Hampshire Countryside Day 2026 at the beautiful Bereleigh Estate in East Meon, Hampshire. Such a fantastic setting for a day celebrating countryside life, traditional skills and rural pursuits.
A packed day of events, with plenty of opportunities to capture both the atmosphere and the action. I photographed hounds, horses and working dogs, each bringing their own challenges and character to the day.
The clay shooting provided some fast-paced action, requiring plenty of concentration and good timing to capture those decisive moments. I also covered a fantastic programme of displays and demonstrations, including impressive bird of prey displays, where tracking birds in flight tested both reactions and camera skills.
The timed relay events added another level of excitement, with horses, dogs and competitors moving at speed and providing plenty of dramatic photographic opportunities. With so much happening across the estate, the day was all about anticipating the action, finding the right positions and being ready for those fleeting moments.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable event to photograph, with a wonderful mix of animals, action, people and countryside, all set against the stunning backdrop of Bereleigh Estate.
